Yemen Wins Umicaff 2017


Yemen ranked first in the the International Cultural & Food festival (Umicaff 2017) held by University of Malaya (UM) during the period from 22nd to 23rd November 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.     

More than 15 countries from all over the world were participating in the exhibition. The Yemeni students at Malaya University participated in a special corner for Cultural heritage as well as a corner for traditional Yemeni food which presented wonderful models of the Yemeni folklore and delicious dishes that was very well received by the visitors.

Yemen corner, which was prepared by Yemeni students studying in the university, got the highest number of votes and won the festival award which was announced later on.   

University of Malaya is one of the oldest universities in Asia. It is ranking the first among universities in Malaysia, 24th in Asia and 114th in the world. It is attended by more than 5000 foreign students from more than 50 countries from all over the world. Yemeni students contribute positively in different cultural, academic and research activities of the University.
