The Governor of Hadramout Governorate, Commander of the Second Military Region, Maj. Gen. Faraj Salmin Al-Bahssani, inaugurated on Friday the Heritage Exhibition of Productive organized by the National Commission for Women, Women’s Departments, Civil Society Organizations and the Business Women Section of Hadramout Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
By his side, Eng. Bader Basalma, President of Globalview for Peace and Development, praised the effort done by the organizers for the success of the exhibition.
“It was clear that the women in Hadramout are reaching a high position with the efforts they made to take their suitable place in the society,” Eng. Basalma said.
During the opening ceremony, Governor Al-Bahssani said that the inauguration of the exhibition was part of Hadramout celebrations for the second anniversary of the liberation of Mukalla and the cities of Hadramout the Coast from the terrorist elements. “These celebrations, production exhibitions and other events are only evidence of peaceful civil life and the security and stability of Mukalla and Hadramout,” Maj. Gen. Al-Bahssani said.
Maj. Gen. Al-Bahssani praised the exhibition and its organizers and all those who participated and contributed to its success, especially the female components that oversaw and organized the Heritage Exhibition of Productive Women, because women were deprived of the exercise of their activities during the presence of terrorist elements and control of Mukalla. Today the peace of the area allowed and enabled women to function normally and exercise all their political, social, economic, cultural and scientific functions, which will contribute effectively to all the tasks entrusted to them.
Eng. Bader Basalma was welcomed by the Head of the National Commission for Women, Ms. Faiza Bamatraf, who showed him the different sections of the exhibition. She praised the efforts done by Globalview for Peace and Development to help the society in general and the women sector in specific.
To be mentioned, Globalview has held a festival entitled ‘Women Peace Festival,’ by the end of the previous month to send a clear message to the new UN envoy that the women in Hadramout are asking for peace. In the other hand, Globalview has formed previously a project under the title, ‘Productive family Center,’ to help the poor families have a fixed income and improve their status.
