Friedrich Ebert Stiftung represented by Mr. Mahmoud Qaiyah, Project Manager, visited Globalview for Peace and Development to discuss ways of cooperation between the two, today 23rd Apr. 2018.
Globalview for Peace and Development represented by Eng. Bader Basalma, CEO and Founder of Globalview, welcomed the visit.
Eng. Basalma briefed Mr. Qaiyah about the activities done by Globalview at the previous period.
“It is amazing what has been done during this short period of the opening of Globalview,” Mr. Qaiyah said.
The meeting between the two discussed the ways of cooperation between the German Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and Globalview for Peace and Development.
The German Foundation Friedrich Ebert Stiftung is interested in Yemen and spreading the peace in it. Friedrich Ebert Stiftung has formed a group of projects in the fields of peace in Yemen.
During the meeting, Mr. Qaiyah offered the idea of the cooperation between Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and Globalview for Peace and Development to implement such projects dedicated to Peace in the war- torn country.
By his side, Eng. Bader Basalma welcomed the idea and promised to discuss the suggestion in the coming period.
Friedrich Ebert Stiftung is a German political foundation associated with the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), yet independent of it. Established in 1925 as the political legacy of Friedrich Ebert, Germany’s first democratically elected President, it is the largest and oldest of the German party-associated foundations. The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung’s (FES) Yemen Office is one of more than 100 offices and projects worldwide affiliated to the Foundation’s division for international development cooperation. Officially established in 1999 in the old city of Sana’a, it works in close contact with nongovernmental organizations, academic research institutions and government institutions on different topics regarding the democratization process in Yemen, peace and security and socio-economic policies.
